Paver 24x48

Thirteen pieces of 24x48 cover roughly 100 sq ft. A 2-by-4-foot slab is the largest rectangle in the paver line, and it changes how a job is planned. The 2" natural stone version is a genuine two-person lift; do not schedule a crew of one to set it, and route the pallet drop as close to the work area as the LTL driver's liftgate allows. The 1-1/4" stone is lighter but just as long, and the 3/4" porcelain slabs are the version to choose for pedestal systems, roof decks or anywhere weight is the constraint.

Layout for a 2x4 slab

Stack bond with tight, consistent joints is the standard modern look; a half-offset running bond gives a brick-like rhythm at a large scale. Either way, run the 48" side parallel to the longest edge of the space so cuts land at one end. The 24" module means 24x24 pavers can fill odd areas without breaking the joint lines. For a pool, 16x48 coping shares the 48" length and gives a long, uninterrupted edge; 24x36 coping is the deeper alternative.

Base and material

A slab this size cannot flex, so the bedding layer must be screeded to a plane. On a mortar bed over concrete, back-butter fully to avoid hollow spots that crack under a chair leg. In stone, Ibiza White marble is available in 24x48 for a light, even deck, and tumbled travertine gives a softer, warmer surface.
