18x36 Plank Pavers in Limestone and Ivory Travertine
The 18x36 is the plank of the range. At 4.5 sq ft per piece, 100 sq ft takes only about 22 pavers, and the 1:2 proportion laid in running bond reads like wide boards rather than tiles. That makes it a good fit for a long, narrow space: a side-yard path, a pool-deck walkway, a linear patio off a modern house, or stepping slabs set in gravel with turf between them. All five products are 1-1/4", so keep it to pedestrian use.
What is in the size, and how it lays out
Four of the five are limestone, including Lymra and Pistachio, with tumbled Ivory travertine as the fifth. That gives this collection a lighter, more uniform look than the mixed marble sizes; if you want a broader color range in a similar proportion, look at 24x48 or the 24x36 pavers. Running bond with a one-third offset is the standard plank layout; stack bond works when the base is dead flat, and a 36" long piece will telegraph any hump, so screed carefully. Plank pavers need two people to set once they get this long, mainly to avoid cracking a 1-1/4" piece across the middle while carrying it.
For a pool edge, there is no 18x36 coping, so pair the deck with 24x36 coping, which shares the 36" length, or with 16x48 for an even longer run. Both are cut from the same limestone line, so the match is straightforward. Use the square footage guide to work out pallet counts.
Not sure which size fits the project? The paver size guide compares every format from 6x12 to 36x36: square feet per piece, pieces per pallet, weight, and which size suits a pool deck, patio, walkway or driveway.
Frequently asked questions
How many 18x36 pavers do I need for 100 square feet?
About 22 pieces, since each covers 4.5 square feet. Because a single broken or mis-cut piece removes a large area, allow at least 10 percent extra, and more if the layout has many perimeter cuts or a stepping-stone pattern with partial pieces.
Can 18x36 pavers be used as stepping stones in gravel or grass?
Yes, that is one of the common uses. Set each piece on a compacted, leveled bed so the whole underside is supported; a 1-1/4 inch slab bridging a void can crack under foot. Leave consistent gaps, usually 2 to 4 inches, and fill with gravel or turf.
Is there matching pool coping in 18x36?
No. The closest matches are 24x36 coping, which shares the 36 inch length, and 16x48 coping for longer runs. Both are available in the same limestone and travertine, so the deck and edge will match in color and finish even though the coping is a different size.
