Remodeled Coping

A remodel (drop-face) coping piece has a squared-off front lip that hangs down over the pool edge and covers the old beam and the top course of tile. It exists to renovate a pool that already has coping or cantilevered concrete, so you can reface the edge without demolishing the deck. This collection carries the remodel profile in two sizes, 4x9 and 12x12, all at 1-1/4" (3 cm), in 22 marble and 10 travertine options.

Which size to use

The 4x9 remodel piece is the standard for freeform and kidney-shaped pools: the 9" length turns tight curves without large wedge joints, and the 4" width covers a typical beam. The 12x12 remodel piece suits rectangular and geometric pools where fewer joints look cleaner and the beam is wider. Colors and finishes

The marble remodel pieces come in Corsica Cream, Ibiza White, Bursa White, Ice White, Tundra Grey, Diane Royal and Ocean Blue, finished leather or sandblasted for slip resistance around the water. The travertine options are Country Classic, Silver, Noce, Walnut and Ivory. Because a remodel job usually keeps the existing deck, order samples and check the coping against the deck color in daylight before committing to a pallet.

Measuring for a remodel

Measure the pool perimeter at the waterline in linear feet. Divide by 0.75 for 4x9 pieces or by 1 for 12x12, then add 10 percent for curves and cuts. Each product page lists pieces per pallet, and remodel coping can also be ordered per piece to top off a short count.
