Walnut

Three stones make up this color family, and they are not interchangeable. Walnut travertine is a medium brown with tan and cream banding. Noce travertine is darker and richer, closer to coffee. Diane Royal marble is a warm brown-and-cream marble with a swirling vein that reads more formal than the two travertines. Pool coping in brown

Pool coping is the largest share here at 90 products, which reflects how often a brown coping is used to frame a lighter deck. Bullnose (48) and eased edge (40) are both available, with a few remodel pieces for resurfacing jobs. Sizes run 12x24, 6x12, 14x24, 16x24 and 4x9 for curves. Diane Royal coping comes leather or sandblasted; Walnut and Noce coping are tumbled. Pavers and treads

Seventy pavers cover 16x24, 12x24 and 6x12 most heavily, then 24x36, 24x24 and 24x48. Walnut and Noce pavers come tumbled from the travertine line; Diane Royal pavers come leather or sandblasted from the marble line and are the choice for a patio where you want a denser, more uniform face. Four 24x72 wall caps and one honed 18x18 Walnut tile round out the set. Dark stone absorbs more heat in full sun, so on a pool deck in a hot climate consider using brown for the coping and borders and a lighter stone for the walking field.

Sealing brown stone
