Paver 12×24

Every 12x24 paver is two square feet, so 50 pieces cover 100 sq ft. The 1:2 proportion is why this size shows up on so many pool decks and patios. Laid in running bond it hides minor base irregularities better than a square; in stack bond it reads clean and linear; at 90-degree herringbone it locks tight enough for the 2" pieces to take vehicle traffic on a driveway or apron. Set on end as a border around a 24x24 field, it also makes a proportional soldier course.

Pairing 12x24 with coping and other sizes

The natural partner is 12x24 pool coping, cut from the same blocks in bullnose, eased edge and remodel profiles, so joints in the deck carry straight through the coping. Because it shares a 12" module with 12x12 and 24x24, you can build a three-piece modular pattern without cutting. Contractors who want the coping and deck in one stone often pick a tumbled Ivory travertine or a leather-finish marble from this collection and order both formats together.

Thickness and material

Choose 1-1/4" for pedestrian decks and patios, 2" for driveways or anywhere a wheelbarrow and skid-steer will cross during construction. Travertine comes tumbled; marble comes leather or sandblasted for grip near water. If your pool has curves, remember the 24" length limits how tight a radius the border can follow, so plan curved sections in 6x12 and straight runs in 12x24.
