Pool Coping 6x12

The math on 6x12 coping is the easiest of any size: one piece equals one linear foot of pool edge. A 90 ft perimeter is 90 pieces plus overage, no calculator needed. The 6" depth is the same idea as 4x9 coping, a short piece that follows curves, but with 12" between joints it looks cleaner on long straight runs and still turns a radius of a few feet without visible corners. Builders use it on freeform pools, spa dams, raised beams and fountains where a 12"-deep cap would be wasted depth.

Thickness, profiles and the paver it belongs with

Unlike the smallest size, 6x12 is available in both 1-1/4" and 2", split almost evenly between bullnose and eased edge. The 2" eased-edge pieces read as a crisp modern band; the 1-1/4" bullnose is the traditional rounded lip. It is the natural cap for a 6x12 paver deck, where every coping joint can align with a paver joint, and it also works as a border stone around a French pattern field.
