MSI Arterra Porcelain Paver Names: Stonorama Look-Alikes

Porcelain pavers are printed, not quarried, so no two factories make the same design — there is no "same stone under another name" the way there is with travertine and marble. What you can match is the look: a concrete-look gray, a travertine-look silver, a limestone-look beige. This page groups the names you'll see in MSI's Arterra® porcelain line at distributors and SiteOne branches into look families and shows the Stonorama porcelain pavers with the closest look in each. Every match here is similar look, not the same product — order a sample and compare it beside the one you were shown before buying.

Format is a wash. Both lines are 3/4" (20 mm) rectified through-body porcelain with a matte, slip-resistant face, sold mainly in 24x24 and 24x48, and both are laid on a slab, on pedestals or on a compacted base. Order a sample first

Porcelain prints repeat, and two "concrete-look grays" from different factories can sit a full shade apart. Order a sample of the design you're considering, lay it beside the distributor sample or the installed paver, and look at it wet and dry — porcelain reads darker when wet. If it isn't close enough, tell us what's off and we'll suggest the next candidate from the same look family.

  • Same spec. 3/4" (20 mm) rectified porcelain, frost-proof, stain-proof, never needs sealing. Read the porcelain pavers buyer's guide for base, pedestal and slab installation, and porcelain vs. natural stone if you're still deciding between the two.
  • Coping. We don't cut porcelain coping. For pool decks, most of our customers pair a porcelain field with natural stone bullnose or eased-edge coping — Ivory travertine with a beige or cream print, Tundra Grey marble with a concrete-look gray.

Frequently asked questions

Is your Presidio Silver the same as MSI Beton Grey?

No — they are different manufacturers' designs with a similar concrete-look gray. Porcelain is a printed product, so no two factories produce the same face. Order a sample and compare it beside the paver you were shown.

Will your porcelain pavers sit flush with Arterra pavers already installed?

Yes on thickness and size: both are 3/4" (20 mm) rectified porcelain in 24x24 and 24x48. Color and print will not be identical, so use ours for a new area, a border or a distinct zone rather than patching into an existing field.

Do you sell porcelain pool coping to match?

Not at this time. We pair porcelain decks with natural stone coping — travertine, marble or limestone in bullnose or eased edge — which gives a softer, cooler edge at the water and matches most porcelain prints well.

How do I choose between a porcelain look-alike and the real stone?

Porcelain wins on maintenance, stain resistance and freeze-thaw; natural stone wins on feel underfoot, coolness in sun, and the fact that no two pieces repeat. Are these products made by MSI?
