Moon Cream Marble

Moon Cream is about as light as a beige-family marble gets: an off-white to pale cream ground with faint, cloudy gray veins that drift across the face rather than cutting it in lines. The leather finish is brushed to a soft, slightly rippled texture with a low sheen, so the stone looks matte from a distance and shows a gentle surface movement up close. Underfoot it is smoother than a sandblasted face but still gives traction when wet. Moon Cream lives in our ivory color family and is a frequent pick for very light decks around dark pool interiors, and for patios beside white or pale gray houses.

Sizes in this collection

Sixteen pavers, no coping. Sizes run 6x12, 12x12, 12x24, 16x16, 16x24, 24x24, 24x36, 24x48 and 36x36, with 1-1/4" on the smaller formats and 2" on the large formats. The 2" 24x48 and 36x36 are the pieces that get Moon Cream specified for modern projects: laid with wide gravel or turf joints they make a clean, pale grid that reads well against dark landscaping. For a pool edge, pair Moon Cream with a light marble coping from the pool coping collection; Ibiza White or Bursa White in a leather finish are the closest in tone, and Diane Royal gives a slightly warmer edge.

Pairing and keeping it clean

A leather finish is the easiest marble texture to keep clean because it has no deep pits to trap dirt, but a light stone will show rust, tannin and fertilizer marks quickly, so seal Moon Cream with a penetrating sealer as soon as the installation cures. Marble is a calcium stone and can etch from acids, so use pH-neutral cleaners and rinse pool chemicals off the deck. The maintenance guide covers sealer types and how often to re-apply.
